The Younger Years

Michelle entered this world on October 11, 1985 born Michelle Christine Trachtenberg in New York to Lana and Michael Trachtenberg,  Michelle’s father is from Germany and her mother is from Russia.  Michelle was raised in Brooklyn with her older sister Irene.

Michelle’s first Television Appearance was a pamper’s commercial, and went on to be featured in over 100 more commercials. Michelle then went on to her first credited role in Adventures of Pete & Pete in 1994 to 1996 and during that period she also played as Lily Montgomery in All My Children. In 1996 Michelle’s got her first  lead role in a film Harriet the Spy.

The Teen Years

Michelle attended Notre Dame High School with Katherine McPhee , Rachel Bilson and Kirsten Dunst. In 1999 Michelle returned to film in Inspector Gadget as Penny Gadget, Can’t Be Heaven and a few others. In 2000 Michelle joined the cast of Buffy The Vampire Slayer as Dawn Summers and was on for 3 Seasons and then the show said goodbye in 2003. She hosted Truth or Scare on Discover Kids from 2001-2003.  In 2004 Michelle returned back to film in Eurotrip and also Mysterious Skins.

All Grown Up

Michelle has grown up into a beautiful young lady hasn’t she? She set a pretty good example growing up as a child star and a teen star not setting a bad example for many who have looked up to her, I would say she is one of Hollywood’s best Young Stars today. 

In 2005 Michelle starred in Disney’s Ice Princess  as Casey Carlyle and Dive of Clausen’s Pier as Carrie Beal and went on to Guest Star in House M.D in 2006 and was in such movies as Beautiful Ohio and Horror Remake Black Christmas.

Michelle then did an ABC Family Original Movie The Circuit in 2008 playing a Racecar Driver. Michelle’s latest films are 17 Again, Cop Out and she is currently working on Young Americans.

Since 2008 Michelle has been having a recurring role in CW’s Gossip Girl as bad girl Georgina Sparks. In the 2009-2010 Michelle was cast as a main character in NBC’s Mercy as Chloe Payne which went on for a Season and was not picked up for a Second sadly.

A little on Michelle’s Personal life she has dated actor Shawn Ashmore and Musician Pete Wentz over the years.  Michelle remains really good friends with her past co-stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Seth Green.
